We are mindful today of those who entered a land that was once occupied by allies but had since become enemy territory, faced death head on and paid the ultimate sacrifice, not only for their generation, but generations to come.
And we’re daily mindful of the Christ, Who entered a land that was once occupied by allies but had since become enemy territory (Jerusalem run by corrupt Roman officials and spiritually vapid Jewish leaders), faced death head on (enduring mockery and that sham of a trial) and paid the ultimate sacrifice (the death of the cross), not only for His generation, but generations to come.
Remember sacrificial soldiers.
Remember the sacrificed Son.
