HITLER TIME MAGAZINE MAN OF THE YEAR If the world stands for another thousand years Adolf Hitler will still be regarded among history’s greatest villains. He came this close to conquering the world, and were it not for a foolhardy invasion of Russia a little thing called Pearl Harbor he might have been successful. He was such an over the top personality with aspirations of global domination, he sounds like something you’d read in a comic book battling Captain America than in a history book battling Churchill.

His ruthless lust for conquest, his disregard for civilian casualty (and of course the Holocaust) have made made him, in the eyes of many, “the most evil person ever.”

Again, you won’t find me singing the guy’s praises, but let’s have a little perspective here.

Say what you want about him, but at least he gave his employees paid vacations.

If we’re going to throw around sayings like “most evil ever” then we need to remember that every evil action ever taken by Hitler, or Stalin, or Nero or the hundreds (if not thousands) of various tyrants and despots who have been earmarked by historians as “the worst of their era” all boils down to one thing: sin.

But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

James 1:14-15

There’s never been an evil action taken by Hitler than is any more evil than the last sin I committed. Sure, Hitler’s sins affected a great many more people. But everyone’s sins affect God. Every sin, no matter the kind, offends His holiness. And every sin, no matter who is doing it, happens because one person lays the tempting trap in the first place.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

James 4:7

Ultimately every person is responsible for his actions, but the sinful actions of every person occurred because of temptation. Every man is tempted by Satan and when the temptation is yielded to, it brings forth sin. Whether it is a little white lie or a holocaust, every evil act ever commited had one person behind the scenes.

Satan is history’s greatest villain. Satan is the true “most evil being ever.”

But if we resist him, we can avoid committing the same evil act that EVERYONE in history has committed: sin against God.

Think about it,
have a great day
