Well to be fair I’ll find someway to watch the first 10-15 minutes from the computer at my office. But for all intents and purposes I will miss the game (and all the gloriously over-priced commercials) from 5:30-6:45pm (and we don’t have DVR anymore so this is well and truly a “sacrifice”).

I’ll be here:

i'll be here

Preaching the second sermon in our twelve-part study of the “Great Chapters of the Bible.” We’ll be looking at three lessons to learn from Hebrews 13. Before the sermon we will–as always–have some songs that we will sing to worship the Father and encourage one another. We will pray to God through Christ our Mediator and offer our thanks for His blessings and bring our needs to Him as He wants us to. We will Commune with Christ, reflecting on His broken body and shed blood, and we will fellowship with one another as brothers and sisters in the great Spiritual Family.

We will not be cancelling our services. We will not be rushing through it. We will not be, as I have heard some do, hooking the projector up and watching it from the auditorium in lieu of an actual sermon from God’s actual Bible. No, the sermon will be as they almost always are: between 20-25 minutes long, heavy in scriptural explanation and application.  As it is every Sunday (morning or night) we will thank God for the privilege to worship Him in spirit and Truth.

Where will you be?

And before you answer that let me offer a suggestion…

There’s a good spot. Why not fill it?*

In the meantime, have a great day!

*(After all, the Broncos are going to jump to a 20-6 lead by halftime…)
