People often think about the judgement of God as though it is something synonyms with hell. Certainly that is one real possibility that is tied to Judgment Day, but there is more to it than that.

heaven-and-hell

There are two elements to the judgment of God and understanding that begins with an understanding of the word. The word “judgment” as it is used in the New Testament simple means “to render a verdict.” All people, therefore, will “face judgement” when life is over. It should not be a scary thing to imagine, in fact for a Christian it should be something to welcome!

A child of God ought to know that His relationship with the Father through Christ is proper and right; therefore when “decision time” comes, he will not hear the words “depart from me” but instead will feel the warm embrace of Jesus as He says “enter in…”

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Matthew 25:46

The same “just” God Who will send the unholy from His sight is the same “just” God Who will reward His faithful children someday. Make sure you’re on the right side of God’s judgment.

God bless and have a great day!
