Our brethren in Antioch, Tennessee were attacked yesterday when a masked gunman entered their auditorium during worship and opened fire. He killed one sister in the parking lot before shooting others in the building. The preacher and his wife were both struck and, at last report, are now in critical condition.

We often pray a word of thanks that we can worship without fear of persecution. Well…sometimes you get persecuted. But we’re still expected to worship.

As for the one who was killed…

And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

Revelation 14:13

Our prayers are with the brethren there, as well as the community around them, as they endure and overcome this hardship.
