We’re all so busy. We’ve all got so many priorities.

I wonder how many of us have forgotten about God. Maybe we haven’t forgotten, but maybe we too easily push Him down the list of priorities we have.

For example, I wonder if we worry more about disappointing people than we do our Maker. “Oh I don’t want to let this person down, he asked for my help.” Okay, good. That’s a good attitude to have. But what about disappointing God? “Oh God’ll forgive me!” So you’re just taking advantage of God’s mercy, abusing His grace…and you think that’s okay?

Instead of taking time to be holy as though we have the time we but need to direct it toward God, we instead have to MAKE time. Thus we grumble and complain and talk about “not enough hours in the day.”

Okay, fine: But why is it always God that gets the short end of the stick?

I think we think the grace of God will save us even if we ignore God. Paul, however, says that God’s grace teaches us to deny worldly lusts (Titus 2:11). When I put my job, or my hobbies, or even my families before God, I put the world before God. That goes against God’s grace.

God has given us time between birth and death; take it and be holy with it.

And if you have too much going on that you think you have to “work God into” your schedule and “make time” for Him, you’re doing it allllll wrong.
