Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.

Isaiah 12:3-4

Why do some Christians walk around like they were weaned on a pickle? Shouldn’t they be happy to belong to God? What should be our attitudes as the saved of God?  In Isaiah 12, the prophet says we should be happily telling the Lost about God. How? He says…

Make mention that His name is exalted.

We should be telling the world that God our Savior is High and Holy and must be obeyed. This message is similar to the first statement Isaiah made (Praise the Lord), except this is the message the person you’ve reached is now taking. You praised the Lord, you led someone to Him, and now they are praising the Lord and they are leading others to Him. We take the Gospel out, but it’s not our good news. It’s not our message. We didn’t die on the cross. It is His name that is exalted and it is His name that we carry to the world.

Tomorrow we’ll look at another thing we should do, in response to our salvation.

See you then!
