Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.

Isaiah 12:3-4

Why do some Christians walk around like they were weaned on a pickle? Shouldn’t they be happy to belong to God? What should be our attitudes as the saved of God?  In Isaiah 12, the prophet says we should be happily telling the Lost about God. How? He says…

Call upon His name.

We should be telling the lost to turn to God (call upon), submitting to His authority (His name) to receive the salvation He offers. Anyone who refuses to obey God’s commands will do so because he fails to recognize the authority of Christ. We have to see Him as King and Controller of our lives, which is part of repenting. Once we do that, any command He gives we will do. We need to be saying to people “Call upon the Lord!” because we–more than anyone else–know how great He is.

Tomorrow we’ll look at another thing we should do, in response to our salvation.

See you then!
