Second day at camp and I have a warm fuzzy in the box.

Of course none of that makes any sense unless you’re a camper. The “Warm Fuzzy” box is a decorated mailbox that kids fill up with personalized greeting notes, encouraging thoughts, embarrassing love letters and such like.

Every morning our director, Allan, opens the box and we hand out the notes to each child…or read the especially embarrassing ones out loud. The box opened this morning and wouldntcha know it, I had one..

caleb warm fuzzy

My precious little one, Jack, came up to visit us yesterday and left me a warm fuzzy before heading home. It will be cherished.

It makes me think of the Bible and the encouraging words found therein. Through the word we learn how to live and how to serve, but we also learn how much we are loved by our Creator. The Bible has a lot more to it than just warm fuzzy messages, but when God does tell us how much we mean to Him, it warms the heart more than any other.

For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
