keep-calm-it-s-already-wednesdayIt’s Wednesday. For many it’s the halfway point of the week, when many people can say “at least the week’s almost over.” For God’s faithful children, Wednesday is the day when we can say “tonight I get to gather with my family.”

That’s a strange statement to those outside of God’s family, because to them it is the weekend when we’re able to spend time with our families. And indeed, Friday and Saturday night is often spent enjoying the company of family and friends, and all that.

But for Christians, our real family is the one we have in Jesus Christ. Though we may also get together on the weekend to hang out, we also are thankful to have an evening in the middle of the week to gather together and sing and study together, and encourage one another.

So, while I’m sure in a couple days you will be calling your friends and family to ask them “Whatcha got goin’ on tonight?” I’m here on a Wednesday morning to ask you that question now: Whatcha got goin’ on…tonight? I plan on studying and singing with my family and friends in Christ.

Why not join me?!
