It happened in a garden
When God first spoke His plan
He spoke to precious children
And called them sinful man
But though their crimes were sin
And made their Father cry
A Savior would sure come
And for them He would die
~
It happened in a garden
On His knees He fell to pray
His thoughts were on a cross
Through which He’d make The Way
Approaching was a “friend”
Who offered Christ a kiss
The soldiers seized Him and
To the cross they whisked
~
It happened in a garden
Bloody pierced and dead
They laid Him in stranger’s tomb
With napkin o’er His head
Salvation’s hope lay cold and still
Three days in the grave
But up it woke on Sunday morn’
With power to heal and save!
