There were bells on a hill, but I never heard them ringing; no I never heard them at all…till there was you.

Now if you don’t know that song…you don’t know the classics. I always loved this particular song (from The Music Man, but probably best known as an early Beatles tune). It’s not too deep; it’s basically just a ditty (just a short, simple little song that’s pleasant to the ears). In it the singer tells of..not his love for a girl, but instead he sings of his love of being in love with a girl. He loves how being in love makes everything else so much better. Bells ringing, birds winging, love singing, etc, everything sort of came alive for him now that he found love.

And that’s how I feel being a Christian. There was always love around, happiness and compassion was always there, but I never experienced till I became a child of God. Before that I was always sort of numb to it. I never felt those wonderful things…

till there was Christ.
