We’re at the end of our series looking at the lyrics to the song “A Song and a Christmas Tree” (Andy Williams’ spin on “Twelve Days of Christmas”). You can take each of the twelve gifts given in the song and find spiritual application.

The twelfth gift given is “All good wishes.” It’s a sentiment more than an actual present. It conveys the idea that, as this year ends and a new one dawns, the hope is that the next calendar brings days of greater blessing than the current calendar did.

I hope each of you have a merry Christmas, a fun time with family and friends, and a stress-free end to your 2016. I wish you “all the good” I can and pray that your days will be merry and bright and that your life will be bathed in the warmth of Jesus’ light.
