The time is upon us. Every year I am nervous. I tell myself “No one cares; no one is going to invite people; no one is going to come” and every year we have record crowds.

This year I’m still nervous. I’ve still got the thoughts in the back of my mind that this is the year when no one cares, no one invites anyone and no one comes. That’s a horrible attitude isn’t it? I’m sorry; I’ll work on that.

Special Sundays like this are great for everyone involved. Our members get to experience the joy of a full house in the assembly, which brings a morale boost and genuine joy in our hearts. Our visitors get to experience the great atmosphere we have here every week. Even our community is strengthened: I can’t tell you how many people who live here in Guy have commented on how encouraging it is to see our church family growing. The more cars in our parking lot the happier our community is. It’s like a rising tide that lifts all boats.

I hope you can be here Sunday, and I hope that you’re bringing as many people with you as you can. It’ll be a great day, regardless of however many we have with us. Our Master will be praised, and that’s the most important thing isn’t it.

See you this coming Lord’s Day,
until then, have a great day!
