Here’s something you maybe have never thought of before:

Satan is the only being that follows no one. He’s not a servant to anyone.

Even God Himself took on Human flesh in order to be a servant (verse) and be obedient (Philippians 2:8)

We of course are either servants of Satan or God (Romans 6:16)

But that brings us back to the original point: Satan is the only one who is no one’s servant. God told Him to serve and He refused. So…to Hell he was cast.

So ask yourself, who would you rather serve? Would you rather serve a Being that became a servant or would you rather serve someone who doesn’t know what its like to submit to another, who doesn’t know what it’s like to be dependent on another, who doesn’t know what it’s like to labor with love for a Master? That’s not the kind of being I want at the top of my pyramid. That’s not a master I want to serve. That’s a hard taskmaster who doesn’t care how painful he makes his whips.

I want to serve a Master who is humble, generous, kind and assisting. I want to serve a Master that is ever present, ever listening, and ever able to help in my time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

God is the only Master worth following, because He allowed Himself to become a servant who showed me how to follow.

Who are YOU following?
