This world is unfair.

Sometimes you work and work and work and get nothing to show for it. On the other hand some people do nothing and fall backwards into success.

The world may be unfair but God is just. In fact, sometimes He’s MORE than just. Sometimes He does what is unfair to our benefit:

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Ephesians 2:8-9

Do we deserve salvation? Certainly not. We have sinned against God and ought to suffer for our crimes. But from a heart of mercy He graciously offers us salvation. We don’t need to sing for our supper either; there nothing we can do to earn it.  It’s a free gift.

We just have to take it.
