Nothing’s been made official yet, but it’s a pretty safe bet that November’s upcoming Presidential election will pit Hillary Clinton (Democrat) against Donald Trump (Republican).

Disappointed?

I got news for you: This world will ALWAYS disappoint you.

If you think this election is somehow an extra special flavor of “blegh” then you need to open your eyes to the reality that few (like less than one percent) of our national leaders, from any branch of government, have been God-fearing men and women of high moral, Bible-believing character. People who put their hopes on the shoulders of humans will always end up disappointed, because people just have a knack for letting others down.

My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. I dare not trust even the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

How about you?

Yes, admittedly, it seems a worse choice this time than we’ve had in the past, but that’s only when we consider it from a worldly perspective. I need to remind myself that this world is not my home, and I thank God I have a King that reigns forever. Presidents come and go and this nation of ours is not guaranteed (nor is it entitled) to last another four years, or even another four hours.

On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand!
