Jesus is the name of the Man born of Mary. The circumstances of His birth are remarkable and miraculous: He is God’s only-begotten son (John 3:16). The phrase is, in the Greek, “mono genes” meaning “one gene.” Jesus is God’s one genetic Son, who came and lived and died 2000 years ago. We’ve never seen His face, we don’t know what he sounds like but we know He lived, we know He died, and we know He ever lives.
The truth about Jesus is… He’s your only hope (Colossians 1:27).
Your only chance to get out of this world and live with God is through Christ. We hope in Christ, by that I mean we Christians are “in” Christ, and in Christ we hope “in” Christ.
Without Him, without being in Him (through His salvation — Galatians 3:26-27), means we are hopeless. Remove Christ from the equation and you have no hope.
That’s the Truth.
