I’m thankful for the promise of a resurrection.

How would you like to be told that this is all there is, that there is nothing more to life than the 80 or so years you have here on this world?

Paul says that such a reality would make him a most miserable man (1 Corinthians 15:19). But he wasn’t miserable, because he knew of resurrection. He believed in resurrection.

Shoot, he lived resurrection (2 Corinthians 12:2-3)!

All of us can have the hope that this short life is only the beginning. We have the promise that if we use this life to serve the Lord, we will be blessed with a resurrection unto life wherein we can continue to serve Him in Heaven forever. If we refuse to serve him in this life, we will suffer a resurrection unto death, removed from the presence of God forever.

I choose to serve the Lord. I choose a resurrection of life, and thank God for it.
