The Second Coming is what we call the event that will occur when Jesus returns to end this world and bring the saved home with Him. The lost, meanwhile, will remain separated from God forever.
The truth about the second coming is…you can’t escape it.
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.1 Thessalonians 4:14-17)
If you are alive and kicking when He returns, you will look up to face his coming and face your judgment. If you’ve kicked the bucket and are in the grave when He returns, you will rise up to face His coming and face your judgment. It doesn’t matter if you are good or bad, saved or lost, faithful or unfaithful, every eye shall see Him when He comes with the clouds (Revelation 1:7).
Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
Acts 17:31
You don’t have to believe it. You can mock it, deny it, ignore it or try and hide from it, but it doesn’t matter: The second coming is truth.
So why not just be ready for it?
