Today is Ringo Starr’s birthday, and all he asks is that at Noon today, everyone say “peace and love.”

Sure thing.

Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

2 Corinthians 13:11

The Apostle Paul closed his second inspired letter to the Corinthian brethren by encouraging them to be “perfect” (complete), of one mind. and to live in peace. Based on the history of the Corinthian church it’s not a stretch to assume the Apostle had many of the earlier problems of Corinth on his mind. The church had been sorely divided, lacking in love for one another, lacking in unity and lacking in peace.

Paul says that if they find unity and peace with one another, the God of “love and peace” will be with them.

So it is of us today. If we seek for unity and peace with one another (through the uniting Gospel of God) then the God of “peace and love” will ever be with us.

Peace and love to you all, through God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
