jack motivationIf you can’t read the note at the top of the picture, my son Jack was given a worksheet a few days ago. According to the teacher, he stared at it, at the wall, out the window, at his desk, at anything he could, completely distracted. He had no motivation to work. After a literal hour of just sitting there, the time came for the class to dismiss to P.E.

Jack got all excited and hopped up to head to the gym when he was told he wasn’t allowed to go without doing his work. Quickly he sat down, and in exactly one minute he completed every problem, only getting four wrong.

Motivation: He needs it.

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 3:13-14

Paul says his motivation for everything he does is to get to Heaven. As though there were a voice constantly whispering to him “you don’t get to go if you don’t get to work” he worked and worked and worked until the day came when he could not work anymore. There was nothing that was going to distract him, nothing that was going to deter him. He had his goal and a true motivation to achieve that goal.

He was going to Heaven and he wasn’t going to let anything stop him.

Is that your motivation too? It needs to be!
