homecoming 15 01homecoming 15 02

This year’s homecoming has come and gone, and as it has been for the past several years, it was a great success. We had about 200 people worship with us, despite the fact that several of our members were away for various reasons. I couldn’t help but think “If this person and that person and those people had been here like usual, we might have had…” but that’s not the right attitude to have, is it? Instead, I will look at the bright side and note that we had a full house where God was praised, brethren ate a fellowship meal together and the church was strengthened in our community.

We had lots and lots of visitors, obviously, and I want to say thanks to everyone who invited friends and family, and everyone who came as well.

There’s no reason we can’t have a full house every single Sunday, and then have a Homecoming once a year that is so big we have to worship in the parking lot. That day is coming, I truly believe it. We just keep plugging away, a little at a time, and if the Lord Wills it, He will make it happen.

Here’s to Homecoming 2016, this time next year!
