Apparently this is good advice now:

Somehow I don’t think that’s what God had in mind. In fact I’m sure He didn’t…

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Ephesians 4:32

Why does every disagreement these days have to lead to violence? A guy cuts off someone on the highway and watch the wronged driver go into a fury trying to exact revenge? Grab the last jar of Nutella at the grocery store and WATCHOUT because that was supposed to be MY eight dollar bottle containing 3oz of delicious chocolate/hazelnut spread.

And then when something serious happens, when you are really and truly wronged, people think the only reasonable response is to wrong them in return. We are not the judges of men; it’s not our place to dole out what we feel is a proper punishment for what someone has done to us.

The Golden Rule is still in effect (Matthew 7:12) and I’m pretty sure it doesn’t look like this:

Have a “nice” day!
