(February 15th) a poem about needing God

Clock - I Need Thee Every Hour Fancy

I need Thee every hour

in morning, noon and night.

I need Thy constant strength

When trials cause me to fright.

~

I need Thee all the times

that things are fair or poor.

I need Thy holy counsel

to open the right door.

~

The world around is dark and drear,

The ways of evil, vast.

I dare not try to go alone

with sin staining my past.

~

I looked for a Friend to help me, and

I’ve found a Friend so Right.

To save my soul, cleanse every stain

and lead me in the Light.

~

I need Thee, Savior, though I know

My sins through Thee are free.

I need Thee–no, I’m thankful that

I know that I have Thee
